The purpose of this exercise is to allow you to reflect on approaching work as a “calling” 和 how you can derive meaning 和 purpose from your upcoming career 和/or your current job.

- Familiarize yourself with the definitions of “calling” 和 “vocation,” as well as the benefits 和 drawbacks related to approaching work as a calling.
- Make Your Job Your Calling Reflective Exercises (附录B)
- These exercises are taken directly from makeyourjobacalling.com, which is based on Dik 和 Duffy’s (2012) book, Make Your Job a Calling: How the Psychology of Vocation Can Change Your Life at Work.
- Choose at least two of the four exercises in 附录B. The way that you engage with the exercises is up to you. 例如, you may choose to take a self-study approach, where you follow the reflection instructions in a journal. You may prefer an arts-based approach where you choose to visually represent your responses to the prompts. You can also choose a movement-based approach where you think through 和 “work out” the responses as you walk, 运行, 或者骑自行车, 例如.
